The audition monologue is a tiny 60 second window meant to showcase your acting abilities–a seemingly impossible feat. In this workshop students will learn to tackle that challenge with confidence as they master the steps of breaking down a monologue in order to make the most of their audition performance. Using classic principles, students will learn how to manually score a monologue, understand dynamics such as inflection, timing, and physicality, apply those principles to their own memorized monologues and then perform for each other, with group feedback. The goal of this workshop is to provide actors with tools to take their monologue to the next level, leaving the audition room with directors wanting more.

PLEASE NOTE: Memorization and preparation of materials beforehand is mandatory.
